Lessons: Piano, Flute, Voice, Recorder

Half-hour lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis for the academic year. One hour or 45-minute lessons are recommended for students wishing to prepare for RCM examinations. One hour lessons are also recommended for students wishing to have music theory instruction included in the lesson time.

Preparation for RCM Examinations on Piano, Flute, Recorder

RCM exam preparation is offered on piano, flute and recorder.

Small group lessons of a maximum of five students per group are available for Recorder, if there are sufficient numbers enrolling for this ensemble style class. However, one-on-one Recorder lessons are recommended for those wishing to prepare for RCM examinations. Treble and Tenor recorders are available on loan for ensemble playing. Summer Lessons

Lessons are offered in the summer (July 2nd to August 31^st) with some flexibility for the teacher and families on vacation.

Preliminary consultation/meeting

An initial consultation/meeting is available at no cost, and with no obligation. This meeting gives you and your child an opportunity to meet the teacher, discuss needs and goals, and address any further questions you may have.

Studio Parents/Teacher Discussion Session

A discussion session for studio parents may be held during the year. You will have the opportunity to meet each other and share your experiences in your role as primary supporter of your child’s music practices at home.

Recitals Students have an opportunity to perform their repertoire at studio recitals.
